  1. 50+1 rule is the secret for a better world w/ opps to everyone. I am watching everything I can and working on my PhD thesis about it. I have never seen a better comment session in Football than when talking about the 50+1. Trust me, I love football hahaha

  2. 50+1 rule sounds really great but what if the cities are with huge disparity in wealth?
I feel the former Democratische cities should have more equal chances to compete with the former Bundesrepublik cities, and for this purpose RB, I feel, did great.

  3. Fans want their club being success while they can't do much about it except support with their attendance, they realize that club need investors but want the investor doing nothing toward the club itself (except for give it more funding). I mean investor need to get something in return for their investment (since it was called investors) right?

  4. I get why people defend the 50+1 rule and I think it is a crude version of how clubs should be run. Football clubs aren't just businesses and their fans aren't just consumers. Having said that Bayern are sitting pretty for their 10th straight title and I think they are the real benefactors of the 50+1. The way they predate on every other team in the league is very reminiscent of Man Utd in the 90s. Any young player at Dortmund or Gladbach knows if they run down their contact Bayern will come knocking. This is extremely damaging to the competition in the league, not only are Bayern fortifying their position at the top, they are undermining their rivals by taking their best players and in many cases there's no transfer fee involved or if there is it's a derisory figure because it's clear the player will just leave on a free if not sold. It's extremely predatory and ultimately it's going to kill the league. I think it's lazy to say you can't hold owners to account without a 50+1 rule.

  5. Here in Sweden we had a football club called Östersunds FK that tried to buy their way to success but they were in the end just forbidden to sign new players, they were relegated from Allsvenskan in 2021.

  6. If depends who you're asking german fans i'm pretty sure they would be against removing the 50+1 rule. But if you want to market your brand to international fans as the EPL did you need a competitive league and the only way i see that happening right now by rich investors, because with the current state of the league i wouldn't surprised if Bayern win the Bundesliga for the next 10 seasons. It's not their fault but they far a head any team in the Bundesliga currently.
