My team Ipswich finishing fifth on 2001 was a fantastic time for the club, but our collapse at the end of the 2002 season sealed our relegation which we took a LONG time to recover from. Would I sacrifice European football in 2001 for mid table survival in retrospect? Yes I would, we would maybe be now cemented in the prermier league, whereas now I fear we will drop again in 2027. If we finish 17th I will be amazed.
