Four years ago, Yankuba Minteh played in the top tier of Gambian football, living with his parents and sharing a room with his seven siblings.

Fast-forward to today. He’s now competing in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion—a journey few could have predicted.

This is the story of Yankuba Minteh’s dream and the loved ones who supported him throughout this emotional journey.

I ALSO HAD A DREAM OF PLAYING FOOTBALL IN THE TOP LEAGUES IN MY COUNTRY AND EVEN OUTSIDE MY COUNTRY BUT THE PEOPLE I THOUGHT BELIEVED IN ME THEY MADE ME STOP PLAYING FOOTBALL SAYING MY LEGS A NOT MADE TO PLAY FOOTBALL . THEY DID NOT STOP FROM THERE THEY WORSENED IT BY SAYING THAT I PLAY LIKE WOMEN😭AND NOW I NOLONGER SEE FOOTBALL AS I USED TO PERSIVE IT BEFORE . NOW AM A FAN YET AM 21😭I STILL HAVE THE LOVE FOR FOOTBALL THOUGH .MY STORY😭😭ENDS THERE I DONT KNOW IF AM EVER GONNA PLAY FOOTBALL AGAIN AM FROM UGANDA WHERE YO PAY TO PLAY😭OR WHEN YOU ARE RELATED TO THE COACH

  2. The real question is how did Brighton find him and many more players like the ones they have sold to Chelsea? Their scouting team and network is world class 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
