    Well done MLS. Yall needed to get more behind the scenes stuff on social media. I've been a lifelong soccer fan, but the MLS was always so dingy. These big investments into big players and good marketing/tech is going to take American Soccer a long way.

    It's so delightfull watching Messi play, after winning everything and making Millions of $$$$ he still plays like he hasn't win anything, he plays like a little kid on the streets, it's crazy, like him or not you have to respect that love for the game, ๐Ÿ™

    When they try to downplay his achievements by talking about how it's only the MLS…
    Ask them how come Henry, Pirlo, Kaka, Villa, Gerrard, Lampard, Ibra, Rooney, Bale, Drogba, Beckham, Suarez, Schweinsteiger e.t.c all came to the MLS having played FAR less career games than Messi… and weren't joining a team at the very bottom of the MLS… and yet none of them came even REMOTELY CLOSE to the overall level of play that Messi has had

    Lampard was closest to Messi in terms of how much career football he'd played by the time he joined the MLS.
    He'd played about 9000 less minutes… (For perspective, Salah played around 3000 minutes in the Premier league in all of last season…).
    Lampard then played 31 total MLS games before retiring… despite joining a team that had Villa and Pirlo lol.
    Most of the others had literally played hundreds and hundreds of less matches when they joined the league (and that's before you even factor in how Messi was single-handedly carrying entire attacks for years at a time towards the end at barca, and for Argentina…)
    and yet still… none of those other legends even got close to what he has done
