Great appointment. Been very critical about the process but all has become clear now and what has been said adds up. Will always be negative critics out there who would moan about anything. Best of luck to Heimir and i believe the good times are up ahead. The moaners can stay at home if they want. BTW Damien Duff is a disgrace.

Some thoughts..
(1) Recruitment process was awful
(2) Heimir could be a good choice, we’ve fallen so far that going up the FIFA rankings is our priority & he has done that with Iceland/Jamaica
(3) Ireland fans will give him a chance, he speaks well and will get Irish culture
(4) Keeping some Irish coaches on will help him, good he’s flexible and sees the value in it
(5) Living in Ireland to understand the fans and culture is a good move
(6) Drop the price of Aviva tickets, this team and manager needs a full house to reboot Irish football
(7) Poor from the journos asking him about the women’s team, historic abuse and Duff’s comments on FAI. No problem with the FAI being quizzed on these topics, Heimir’s unveiling is not the time or place. Irish people are more welcoming than that…
