Monaco vs. Benfica: Extended Highlights | UCL Knockout Phase Play-off Leg 1 | CBS Sports Golazo

Monaco were lucky to have done their work early as they were very poor down the stretch. Benfica finished the group stage on a high note.

  1. That ref needs to be fired and permanently banned from ever being a ref. That red card was the most unnecessary/Ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen a ref do. Talk about a power hungry ref…. Shame…

  2. Bro that benfica left back should’ve been sent off 🤣🤣🤣 in the first minute. Monaco was robbed a pen. Bro was pulling onto the player for dear life 💀💀💀

  3. 1:18 i mean this is why people are talking about how bad strikers are today and how true strikers have died out

where are the strikers today, other than really just haaland, that want to fight through contact and score goals more than they want to fall on the ground for cheap penalties? kudos to pavlidis for fighting through that contact in this match

  4. That second yellow is the one they would give Arsenal in EPL, very unfair and harsh, to send off a player for that is really not what referee is on the field for, none of the Big teams would get it.

  5. Monaco going down to 10 men and holding Benfica back for half the game is really commendable. Their defense was solid. Benfica could have done better with the advantage they had to widen their lead. Surprised how they performed considering the game they had against Barcelona. They were very scary in that game and came so close to an upset.

  6. How can you possibly justify Carreras not getting a second yellow there? Sure, give it to the player gesturing for one, that's fair enough. But what makes no sense is not sending off Carreras as well.

  7. The Monaco player was calm, completely non-aggressive, looked like non-verbal as well, made no drastic movements towards the ref, and just made a simple card gesture and got a second yellow for that. In highlights of the games today alone, I have watched groups of players sprint at refs, yell, use aggressive hand signs, and clearly disrespect the ref and not get yellows. It blows my mind how the ref gives a second yellow for that. I can understand a ref giving a yellow for a player sprinting up in to his face to whine and complain, but this was just so ridiculous to me
