Nicaragua won 1-nil against Belize to take possession of first place in Group C at the Mexican Football Federation facilities in Toluca, Mexico.
Juban Uriarte struck the lone goal of the match in the 76’ with a conversion from the penalty spot. The Nicaraguan forward extended his tally to five goals in the campaign.
Dominica 0, Mexico 8
Mexico won 8-nil against Dominica to start its campaign in Group C at the Mexican Football Federation facilities in Toluca, Mexico.
Gael García opened the scoring in the 18′ with a strike from the top of the box.
Jhonnatan Grajales doubled the lead for the hosts in the 35’ with a shot from the penalty arc.
Aldo de Nigris struck inside the box in the 45’+1 to extend Mexico’s lead before the half.
Luis Gamboa furthered the lead in the 45’+4 with a strike from outside the box.
José Mancilla continued the scoring in the 74’ with a bullet from long range.
De Nigris completed with his brace in the 75’ to make it a six-goal lead for Mexico.
Daniel Nuñez added his name to the scoresheet in the 79’ from the penalty spot.
Juan Rangel opened his account in the 82′ with a header in the box.
