🎥 DEMONSTRATIONS are a great way for children to learn!
In every group, you’ll have visual learners who will benefit from seeing the skill or trick you want them to perform. Demonstrating not only helps them understand but also allows them to visualise what they need to do.
When I demonstrate, I use one of two approaches:
1️⃣ Super Slow-Motion – Like on Sky Sports News! This is perfect for breaking down complex skills, allowing the children to see every step and understand the technique in detail.
2️⃣ ‘Match Speed’ – This is great for showing the children what good looks like in real time. It helps them understand how to execute the skill under normal conditions and at the right pace.
Both methods allow children to absorb the information in a way that suits them and ensures they have a clear picture of how to perform the skill.
