  1. This guy should coach some of the teams in the Premiership.
They play so negative so with this positive forward way of playing. More chances will be created therefore more goals.

  2. It’s fascinating how the culture a coach/scout is from influences how they see the game, in a country where possession and less direct play is valued, turning your back would not be viewed as a negative in the same light

  3. Except you can fake one way or the other or double fake. You cant fake when they are literally looking at the ball. Also you are back in the same situation again, you went nowhere.

  4. I was taught to come in slowly at an angle not square before accelerating away, not to go the way your man's showing you (inside / down the line) and not to rely on indicating contact and try to out muscle them.

  5. well clearly he’s talking about this specific players, you saw in the opening clip the guy is clearly less strong and would be better off trying to round him then go strength for strength, the players who people are naming (hazard, busquets and even someone like grealish) have so much strength and balance, the guy looks all over the place without his balance and his strength, makes it easier for the defender to take the ball, he’s clearly more agile as he gets one step ahead, good coaching imo

  6. You can separate while turning your back. Teammates who'll run through and give you opportunities to either make the through pass or dribble past your opponent. They got their legs wide open, if the ball passes and you don't it's most likely going to be a foul. And also don't forget your opponent has also their back turned from their goal. If I decide to speed burst in this position I have the advantage bc I've got the momentum
