Controlling the game from start to finish Manchester City picked up an important 2-0 win in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Bernardo Silva netted a goal in the 29’ to get the scoring going in the first half and Jesus added another goal in the 65’. Monchengladbach almost got one back to pull within just one headed into the second leg, but Ederson, Manchester City’s keeper, made the only save he had to all match to keep the Man City advantage at two.
