On the latest episode of the Lowdown, Dougie and Michael are joined by @FuadCadani to grade every Premier League signing who cost £25million and above based on their performances so far and future prospects!
There’s debate over whether Man United should have signed Amadou Onana instead of Manuel Ugarte following the Belgian midfielder’s electric start at Aston Villa, while there are question marks over how much game time Pedro Neto and Joao Felix are going to get at Chelsea following Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku’s excellent substitute performances against Bournemouth.
Following good displays last weekend but still reeling from defeat to arch rivals Liverpool, how are we grading Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee’s starts at Man United?
Fuad also gives his verdict of Tottenham’s signings so far – how many goals does Solanke need to score to justify his price tag? Should Wilson Odobert be starting? And what are Archie Gray’s prospects this season?

Which new signing has impressed you the most so far this season?!👇
Pretty much all of these are “too early”. Maybe it was a bit “too early” to do this vid 😂
Anderson was 15mil u idiot
spent half the onana segment talking about united, very weird
So much bias 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Nah the bias against Chelsea is crazy!
The most overrated new signing this summer Solanke for 60mil. Knew he would flop.. Not suprised …chelsea and liverpool reject.
bro these guys stinks man feck
The Lowdown is the right name for this show
solanke 0 g/a gets a B+
neto 1 g/a C+
make it make sense
So solanke who hasn’t had a good game , cost the same as ugarte , is older than ugarte gets a B to A but ugarte is a C. 🤨
The statement saying De Ligt's a bit of an upgrade from Maguire is single handedly the stupidest comment I've heard, who allows these clowns to come on?
The Solanke hype is really odd to me. He has had one good prem season at 26. To be a 60mil player and the statement signing of a top 4 hopeful seems seriously optimistic.
If he was 40mil to West Ham to replace Antonio and get them into some kind of Europe I could maybe understand it.
“Kind of” – Fuad 2024
The video is titled 'Rating Every New Signing's start to the season!' and they let that guy give Solanke an A 'on the promise of what could happen'. He's done NOTHING in the two matches. Too scared to disagree or offend. Pointless.
Solanke an A?! 😂
Onana got dropped for Everton the end of the season and are our form was better , he’s just average at everything he can’t play a through ball can’t dribble doesn’t score and ball watches people run off the back off him all the time be out the team by Christmas
Solanke C+
Calafiori played in a back 4 last year, Bologna played a 433. What's he on about
Ian Maatsen has come on as a sub in all our games, usually around 60-70mins mark, but Luca Digne was fantastic last season & has started this season great aswell, also getting back into the french national side in which he has 50+ caps & was brilliant against Belgium recently. We have 2 great options in each position at Villa & it's great to have 2 different profiles at LB,with Digne being 31 Ian Maatsen will be 1st choice before too long, but right now he bas to bide his time & he will get plenty of game time with Villa having a minimum of 48 games this season, but i hope will have alot more with a run in the cups, we're in good shape at Aston Villa nowadays & despite this narrative that we'll drop off in the league, cos Newcastle did is complete nonsense, our situations are not the same at all & our no.1 priority is the league then the champions league & last the 2 domestic cups for obvious reasons, but i'm sure with our squad depth we can challenge on all fronts as long as we don't have a repeat of the bad injuries like last season that barely got mentioned by the media, but we still got top 4 & were the last British club remaining in Europe getting to a semi final. Villa are back!! 😁⚽✌️
I'm so confused he hasn't scored or assisted and missed chances that meant Spurs drew or lost to Leicester I can't remember
Anderson didn’t actually cost £35m did he though. We made Newcastle take vlachodimos for £20m so around £15m net for Anderson. Excellent business.
Poor from the guys with their Bias…more reason why Sky Football is out of the picture these days🚮
