Following their loss to Manchester United, Liverpool play host to tough rivals Sunderland on Saturday afternoon. The hosts cannot afford another bad result, as that would seriously dent their hopes of a top four finish this season.

After a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal, in the Carling Cup, Tottenham are scheduled to go to East London where West Ham will host them at the Boleyn ground in Sunday’s Premier League game. Harry Redknapp’s side would however assign greater importance to Sunday’s game and will seek to build on the momentum gained in their 3-1 come-from-behind win against Wolves, last weekend.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford this Sunday for a lunch-time kick off against traditional rivals Manchester United. This hasn’t been the friendliest venue for Liverpool, in terms of match results. In 18 visits, the Merseysiders have won just four, while the Reds have won 10, with the remaining four games ending without result.
