Whatever about the result yesterday I already like the new manager Heimir Hallgrimsson, he gives a good assessment of the game and makes no excuses like Kenny used to do. Stephen Kenny used to do my head in saying. Aw we nearly scored, if that shot went in we would’ve drew. Instead the new manager dissects where it went wrong, and how we can improve it, can’t help but smile listening to him, in Heimir we trust
All due respect to Coleman but he’s finished at this level. Doherty is woeful and Brady is past it. Time to play the young players. Hallgirmsson has a big job on his hands and I’m sure after this international break he’ll know who will be in his plans going forward.

Until we recognise that our National game, GAA is hampering the progress of real professional sports in this country we will always struggle to make a decent team. All of our players must go to UK or further afield to make a name for themselves in the game. Our national football leagues are way behind the rest of Europe and the world. Until we give equal resources and credit to our football team, on a par with the GAA and have a national academy worthy of producing and nurturing football talent we will always struggle. The GAA gets everything and credit to them they utilise and grow their game much better but as i said to the detriment of every other sport here
Passive weak rubbish , Coleman has been a great player for Ireland but times up , Brady garbage as ever, Doherty rarely if ever plays well for Ireland he was one of the worst players today, ogbenie running around like a headless chicken, couldn't cross the road never mind a ball , midfield non existent, so many problems it's pathetic, took 8 months to get a new manager then they get a dentist 🚮
