I am constantly asked by my students, do I believe in paying money for goalkeeper glove cleaner that you now see advertised on goalkeeper coaching shops. To be honest, I do not think it’s worth paying any money. By the way, I am not saying these glove cleaners are bad, they are not because I have spoke to a few goalkeeping students of mine who swear by this stuff, but me personally I would rather save the money and not buy this cleaner, then put this money saved towards a new pair of gloves.

Well it mainly down to the palm of the glove, each goalkeeping glove has what you called latex on the palm, this is the white foam like material. Now the better the latex, normally, the better the grip!

One of the strongest teams in the Champions League T20 tournament, Mumbai Indians (MI) have not lived up to their reputation. By losing two consecutive matches, both of which they should have won, MI have got themselves into a bit of a mess in Group B. In their first match, MI were set a steep target of 187 to win by Lions.

A Midlands derby is in store as Aston Villa make the short trip to Molineux for a Sunday afternoon date with Wolves, in the sixth Premier League match of their ongoing campaign. Neither team has settled down to a rhythm, this Premiership season. Wolves had a disappointing match against Tottenham, last week, when they slumped from a 1-0 advantage to a 3-1 defeat, all in the space of the last 20 minutes.

Newcastle United will host Stoke City at St James’ Park, this Sunday, in what will be the sixth match of their Premiership campaign. Ahead of the game, Newcastle are gung-ho, thanks to a mid-week 4-3 win over Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, in the Carling Cup. Ironically, Newcastle also lost at home to Blackpool, in the Premier League.

Fulham will host Everton, this Saturday, in an afternoon kick off at Craven Cottage. Both teams will be seeking to win the match and take away three points from the game. Head to head, in their last games with Fulham, Everton have won all five matches hosted by them at Goodison Park, while winning one at Craven Park.
