The Super Falcons of Nigeria remains the best Female soccer team in Africa. They have represented Africa at the Olympic female soccer events on four occasions.

The Super Falcons have always represented Africa at the FIFA Women World Cup. Their performance at these global events has not however been smooth sailing.
