Amy Fearn has made history in English football by becoming the first woman to referee an English Football League match. Following an injury to the original referee after seventy minutes of the game, she was called upon to deputise for the remaining twenty minutes. Will women one day be seen officiating in the Premier league.

Trevor Francis – England’s First One Million Pound Player

Trevor Francis was the first football player in England to be transferred for 1 million pounds. In 1979 he signed for Nottingham Forest from Birmingham City. There was a huge amount of media coverage for the transfer that doubled the previous British transfer record.
