3 WAYS TO VOLLEY A SOCCER BALL



1. Half Volley
• Use the laces (instep) of your shoe.
• Strike the ball just as it bounces off the ground.
• This requires excellent timing to catch the ball at the right moment.

2. Full Volley
• Use the laces (instep) of your shoe.
• Lean slightly forward, and keep your eyes on the ball.
• Let the ball drop below your knee before striking.
• Swing your leg through the ball, keeping your foot firm and pointed downward. Aim to make contact with the center or bottom half of the ball.

3. Side Volley
• Use the instep of your foot.
• Position your body side-on to the ball.
• Rotate your hips and swing your leg sideways to meet the ball. This technique is useful for redirecting the ball towards a specific target.
