Soccer sports mean the whole world to some children. You can see them spend a great deal of time practicing their moves in your yard. Champions Chelsea have won just one of their last 5 games while losing one and drawing 3. The Stamford Bridge squad will fancy themselves against bottom side Wolves, and try to get their momentum going again this season, with a big win.

Villa have lost 5 of their last 7 games in the league, while Sunderland have won 3 of their last 6. On current form, the Black Cats have an edge over the Villans. That said, Houllier’s squad are flying high after their 3-3 draw against Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge in match week 21. Additionally, the Villa Park squad will relish playing before their home fans.

What’s gone wrong? Why have the champion team that scored 24 goals in their first 7 matches while conceding just the one disappointed their fans and millions of followers of the Premier League around the world? In this article, I take a look at what I perceive as the 5 most important reasons for Chelsea’s poor run in the Premier League, this season.

The Rovers have lost 3 of their last 5 league games this season, while winning just the one. The Merseysiders have had 2 wins and 3 losses in their last 5. On current form, Roy Hodgson’s men appear to be getting back into their stride; Gerrard and Torres combined brilliantly in the Reds’ come-from-behind win against Bolton in match week 21. The Ewood Park squad on the other hand have been inconsistent after Sam Allardyce’s departure.

It’s Premier League match time at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday, January 4, as Blackpool get set to host Birmingham City in match week 23. Blackpool are on a roll, with 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 games, while Birmingham have had just the solitary win in their last 5, with a loss and 3 draws. On current form, Blackpool seem likely to edge this one…

On current form, Stoke will need to work hard to be able to bank any points from Tuesday’s game.
