  1. Only one man carried Liverpool alone in its worst period. He was Steven Gerrard, a world-class player who was not repeated, the best English player the stadiums produced.

  2. To me he's the enemy but the truth is he was a quality player who could change games on his own. The west ham fa cup final game and Istanbul comes to mind. MUFC 20 TIMES

As an Irishman and a massive united fan since I was 8,O how I wanted to see Gerrard and Keane play beside each other because both could do everything defend attack pass score.Gerrard is without question better than scholes going forward and Keane the best awareness in defense especially.The 2 best I've seen in Premiership history.Maybe it would have been unfair to the rest of the teams to have to play against that imho.
