Portland Timbers vs. Los Angeles Football Club | October 18, 2020 | MLS Highlights

The Portland Timbers and LAFC are looking to rebound from Week 18 midweek defeats when the Western Conference foes meet Sunday night at Providence Park.

The Timbers (9W-5L-3D) had a five-match winning streak snapped when they fell 2-1 to Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium Wednesday night, while LAFC (7W-7L-3D) fell to the Whitecaps by the same scoreline at Providence Park.

This is the third meeting this season with LAFC winning 4-2 at Banc of California Stadium Sept. 13 after the teams played to a 2-2 draw at the MLS is Back Tournament in July.

  1. I live in Portland, I am a Timbers fan, but I frigging hate how if they have a 1 goal lead near the end of a game, they decide that they would rather just pack the goal box and hope for the best. So many Timbers games either ended up tied or lost because of this mindset.

  2. The team is not the same without vela thats right is just getting better with all this young good players they draft Im not surprised if they let go of vela and we get some money for another 4 more good players

  3. Timbers fans, what's happening with Niezgoda? He scored 2 goals against SJ, so I was surprised not to see him in the starting 11. Is he not good enough to start or what? This guy Felipe Mora cost you 2 points. Seems like he does everything right except score goals.
