Italy got the best defenders
Spain has the best midfielders
Brazil has the best attackers.
And Germany has them all.
That's a problem with football nowadays. Club want to recruit an 100m record breaker sprinter or a body builder who spent 20 hours a day on gym.
It's because all those stupid online game stat, that thing became manager catalog right now.
Guti, Iniesta , Xavi, busquets, Thiago etc
He didn't say anything we didn't know
Forget Xavi, Iniesta or Sergio, Dani Parejo gotta be the slowest player ever with the sharpest mind. He plays for a lesser club so they are always getting pressed and he is never hurried. All that said, futbol is all about tempo and this is what Pep has beem able to do: infused the Spanish sensibility to the prem, with some bundesliga mixed in there.
As a spaniard, to be fair, I have to say before Golden midfielders generation (Xavi, Iniesta, Silva, Alonso, Fàbregas…) there were many others who showed their talent besides most of the people out of Spain didn't even know them. I mean Valerón, Iván de la Peña, Baraja, Guti… all them were amazing midfielders with vision, passing game, absolute ballers that never succeed as much as Golden Generation did but they started to be the reference for all the youngers boys whose talent made possible to achieve what the legacy they left promised. But years ago here in Spain instead ballers we looked for strong midfielders. Guardiola played like a smart player (when Pep played was quite similar to Busquets), he was the idol of youngs, but his style was not required and Xavi Hernández was his heir at Barça. Xavi was underrated and hated by Barça fans in his begginings, in other teams there were some midfielders like Celades or Rivera who were liked but spanish fans weren't convinced by their way to play. Fortunately Luis Aragonés decided to change that, Spain won Euro 08 and the paradigm changed
I TOLD YOUUUU 4-1🤫
And England focus on fast wingers 😅
This goes on to the coaching side..all top managers in the game now are Spanish
Thats why Prem fans underrate la liga cause its not just about being athletic
In South America they look at football like chess, to win, you must be atleast 1 step ahead of your opponent.
Yeah, total opposite to the French academy who go for physical strength before anything. There are plenty of skinny guys not making through because of that
What a great explanation from thiery henry 👏🏾. When someone like henry talks about spainish footballers we listen because he have played with them and against them.
Even someone like Monreal defied the notion that speed is a must for a fullback 🎉 GOAL went as far as branding him as Arsenal's 'Mr Consistent'
That Spanish midfield was really something else! Xavi,Iniesta, busi, Alonso, Silva, cazorla, fabregas, Mata…to much quality. To think someone like Cazorla was a benchwarmer
Pirlo is Italian and Gerard is English…
Most Spanish players are small in stature so their major strength is in precision & ability to pass the opponent to make up for their lack of pace & physicality.
🙋🙋🙋🙋
Well they have a bunch od CMs but not CFs in the last 25 years.
Titi is really good analyst
No wonder Canon, HP and Brothers employ more Spanish guys
It is evident that Thierry's time in La Liga had a profound impact on him.
The English look for Pace and Power
The Spanish look for brains & team players
The Italians look for durable players
The Germans look for technically gifted players
The French look for anything & everything 😂
When someone is fast or strong it doesn't mean he's not got the "brain"
They didn't scan Dortmund very well.
Just say football IQ lol
The best example is Juan Mata, the guy has very little physical attributes, but he can scan the field and get the ball to the right people.
Great point
Santi corzola was great
Sergio Busquets, David Silva, Iniesta, Rodri. Exceptionally smart players indeed 🇪🇸
I thought it was me alone. Mich face 😂, why my brother
That’s what Manchester United players are lacking “Brain”
They play football of kick the ball forward and see what happens. That only happened during the era of Pele
This guy is brilliant and knows the game
Epl players are the most phisical but brainless. Everybody knows that.
Argentine players are best
La Liga is the best league in the world for this reason.
Its Said about barcelona
Because of he got champions league at Barcelona
You can see for Argentina, they go racist first.
Very true, I grew up in Spain, I played football as a kid/teenager, I had a good physique, fast, hit the ball hard however I wasn’t very technical therefore I never had a chance, if I was living in the UK or Germany it would have been different (I’m not saying I would have been a pro but at least I would have get more recognition)
Henry might be right, but I prefer Brazilian footballers, French footballers, African footballers, and German footballers. With the exception of Iniesta and Xavi, I don’t trust Spanish footballers like that to win games. I’m just saying.
I’m getting a little tired of the Spanish being held like they’re from another planet.
I agree Xavi, Iniesta, Silva were amazing. But they were also a golden generation. Spain is never getting there again. Maybe in another 100 years… Spain has always had great players but never so many at the same time.
Again, the team that won WC and EC twice was amazing but it wasn’t the system more so than it was the combination of these amazing talents. They have 1 WC. If the Spanish system was so incredible they would have more. But they don’t. It must also be noted that they just happen to play during the social media era and everyone was exposed to them way more than other golden generations from other countries.
english scout: pace, strength, shot from outside. foreign coaches ve been a blessing to young english prospect
Samuel Eto'o>>>>>>>> Henry
Thts why belingham will be new zidane.
He learned to stop running and appear where he shluld and instead shoptinf. It side shoot it
Yeah but only one world cup. Let's chill on the hyperbole and recency bias.
TT is always on point.
There was a study that found scanning associated with higher rate of success with forward passing. Modric came on top.
The espanicha bloodline stays scanning the environment!
I STAY LOOKING FRONT BACK AND SIDE TO SIDE!!!!!
Dont let the Pessimism of the Portuga lineage fool you!
