(9 Oct 2018) A member of the youth soccer team from Thailand that got trapped in a flooded cave says the team is now like family and that they are a better soccer team because of the ordeal.
On Tuesday in New York, 14-year-old Adul Sam-on (ah-DUHL’ sam-OHN) spoke about the ordeal at the Asia Society educational institution.
Sam-on’s teammates are in Buenos Aires, where they played a match against an Argentinean youth soccer team and participated in the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games.
He’ll be reunited with his team in Los Angeles for a visit with the city’s Thai population.
