In 2011, Real Salt Lake became the first MLS club to reach the final of the expanded regional competition. After earning results in hostile environments in the knockout phase, RSL hosted the decisive second leg of the CCL final against Monterrey.

Still waiting on a club from MLS to reach the summit in CONCACAF. Toronto FC came close in 2018, as did LAFC in 2020. Hopefully we will see a team from MLS lift that 🏆 in 2021.

Man I was so happy when Monterrey Rayados won I was jumping up of joy but after the first game in the back of my head I kinda thought real salt lake might take it. I like Real salt lake their my second favorite MLS team and if any US team can win Concacaf it's them
