Sligo Rovers are through to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League after a dramatic penalty shoutout victory over Bala Town in front of a sell out crowd at The Showgrounds. Goalkeeper Ed McGinty was the hero for the Bit O’ Red as he saved two penalties in the shootout, along with making some crucial saves during the 120 minutes of the second leg. Sligo Rovers will now face Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for a place in the third qualifying round.
