You know U.S. soccer is going downhill when we went from depending on Christian Pulisic to now putting our hopes on a young player like Cavan Sullivan, who has yet to consistently produce goals at the senior level.
I want to see a real generation of elite American talent, not players being hyped simply because they are young. But we are never going to develop the depth and quality we need as long as the U.S. continues to rely so heavily on a pay-to-play system that can prevent talented players from lower-income backgrounds from getting the same opportunities.
American soccer needs to find and develop talent based on ability—not the size of a family's bank account.
That was a perfect cut back, put him in the little amount of open space he had and gave him the perfect amount of strides to release that shot comfortably.
I said in so many comments… why wasn't this kid on usmnt just for marketing purposes and to get the youth really into soccer…… now we gotta wait four years…… again……….
Only 16? Kid may have Landon Donavan potential. However this is the awful American system we are talking about 😂 I hope we get it together. We have to make U16 Soccer affordable or free or we will never attract talented prospects
Didn’t even look to his right, I wonder if we should be teaching kids “don’t worry about aiming just blast it at the goal” because that’s honestly what every star player does
The first couple matches after the world cup I saw potential, but thought he had a long ways to go. He's improved massively basically every match since, has looked fantastic the last few weeks, and I'm starting to get really excited about his future. Get him caps as soon as possible, groom him for 2030 to be a key piece
🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩♥️
Ditch grandpa Pulisic for this guy 🇺🇸
