To win in the Azteca you have to survive the first 25 mins unscathed, San Diego didn't do this, they then had to push forward more and it left gaps, Club America know how to play at altitude, if they score early they can just bully whoever into submission, they had the space and just picked San Diego off, towards the end it was all America, they were 3-1 up and San Diego were dying in the altitude, America could have scored 5 or 6 and it turned into a pretty easy night's work, with America (or the Mexico national team for that matter) if you let them get on top in the altitude and theyll destroy you, you saw it at the World Cup if Mexico got on top in the Azteca it was over, the only way to give yourself a chance is dont let them get on top
