That’s going to be an “over” for me also. Too many talented skill position freshmen that will be handling the rock this Saturday.
Another thought about Gary Patterson…one more aspect of his legendary impact on programs is the way he develops players. He has been widely known for sending two and three stars from playing on Saturdays to playing on Sundays. Now give a man like that the nations #1 recruiting class?
Just imagine the sort of development that can happen when ALL of those freshmen end up starting a full extra development cycle early, in Spring Camp.
Everything is still yet to be proven for USC. The “experts” all seem to have the Trojans finishing no higher than fourth in the Big 10. This reminds me of how many times I’ve had my own high hopes for this team over the years…but the fact is, it has been twenty two years since SC has won a national championship.
I will just say I’m very interested in what happens this year, but I’m not writing any RSVPs for the celebration just yet.
