  1. Historic clubs might sell a few less than expected as they have real fans, long teens ones. With prices, esp in England, unless you're that fie hard & spend every penny on club or are wealthy enough, you aren't buying a shirt every year. So you'll see man u & arsenal fans with kits from last millennium, whereas your but going to see many Chelsea & man city fans with those (unless they've bought retro ones recently because they're pretentious douche bags & know their clubs have no history & want to pretend like they were there before)

  2. Because clubs make very little from the jersey sales themselves. General rule (so not ALWAYS the case), is they get sponsored by kit manufacturer, they get lump sum, so man u is a 105m for 5 years I think. Manufacturer takes most of the money from shirt sales itself, so you actually make litte from that. If curse bigger brand you are means you can negotiate a better deal (why man u & arsenal have the best deals). I'm not going to write 20 pg but hopefully you get the idea
