  1. I like the comment near the end about "at that speed" a small pull call do more than you might think. A lot of times people assume a flop (in many sports) but they aren't considering how easy someone can actually go down with certain speed, leaning, leverage, etc.

  2. That was a clear flop by Müller. He practically flies backwards. These are high-level athletes, not a bunch of sissies who fall down at the slightest touch or pull. All this acting is not good for the sport

  3. If that ball is hitting Najar cleanly, it should go away from goal based on the positioning of his head in that shot. That would be classified as a "deflection" in my mind which would still put the DC attacker in an offside violation per IFAB.

Regardless, there needs to be a time limit on VAR. If the VAR can't recommend review in 1 minute or less, then it isn't "clear and obvious" like the rules for review dictate.

  4. DC United one should be a no goal. Doesn't matter whether the defender touched it last. It was clearly touched by a DC player on the header (both at the same time), a header or glancing blow off the defender does not reset the possession frame. Offside!

  5. Andrew Wiebe's definition of "clear penalty" is different from everyone elses. To be something that's clear, it means a unanimous consensus. Half the pens that you said were "clear" were not clear at all. Perhaps, you had better replay angles to review, but from the videos you presented here, many were certainly not "clear."

  6. Video title: “Müeller’s debatable penalty” Actual analysis: That was clearly a penalty and good call.

Can we skip the dumb clickbait titles please?

  7. 1:40 – You can't say something is obvious and then circle something that is clearly NOT obvious. I'm fine if the AR flagged this and the CR said he thought the defender had played the ball, but if this went to VAR then show us the clear and obvious video of who touched that. You didn't.

  8. On Müller going down to the ground you can see Cheberko’s hand pulling the opposite direction on his shirt. What a crafty dive, too bad for LAFC it worked!
