  1. Make sure every game is reviewed now – any time a team is up too many goals and puts on their 2 line players early is non-competitive. Probably a lot of team should be disqualified /s.

Seriously, these off-the-field officials make the sport a joke.

  2. Why is this on the news ? High taxes poor immigration laws housing crisis grocery store jacking prices and a legal system allowing organized crime and petty criminals run wild ! This is what makes the news ! What a joke

  3. Coaches fault. This is match fixing. Both teams are throwing the game and not playing. This is unsportsmanlike and the teams deserved to be removed from the final. Referees can’t tell a team how to play so it’s ridiculous to blame them.

  4. It might make sense. In the sporting world this is known as MATCH-FIXING and in this case with 2 teams involved it would be COLLUSION. And because of these crazy prediction market sites on basically anything it could be about a form of gambling in which the outcome is manipulated. (which is crazy in itself) HOWEVER if any other team was effected in the standings then it would be a major deal. Even if it was about one team ending the tournament in a higher place than another even if they could not go to the final. But it sounds like it was harmless and no-one was effected and was to avoid injury. But a full investigation needs to be done. And the organizers must be clear on their ruling. Is it written in the by-laws of the tournament? I guess they are saying "competitive play" is the rational behind their decision. I guess.

  5. Wow these parents have totally failed their children! And no there’s no division. BCSA is right and the coaches should be banned permanently.

  6. The failure is putting winning or trophies above development which should be the goal of youth sports. Wish this story could’ve included a more balanced perspective.

  7. Coaches botched this.
It was a dead game shouldn't have been played. But it's still the responsibility of both managers to uphold the sports integrity. It's the correct decision to disqualify both teams for throwing the game.

  8. Yeah you gotta go at least play or pretend play. Don't just waste time completely and make a mockery of the game. I know protection for final is important but come on, just play the game lightly then don't waste it

  9. If there was a problem, there ref claims have insisted. No mention there was any warning. Ref didn’t see a problem suspension into harsh when 1 game from championship and both already qualified. Bad call.

  10. No collusion in sports. Coaches are absolutely deplorable however don’t heckle the kids. The suspension should stand. This is only slightly below Disgrace of Gijon

  11. Imagine in the NHL the Canucks Vs Maple Leafs playing their last game of the season. Both teams are qualified in the playoffs and win/lose do not change their ranks. If they played like that, it would be considered a fixed game and NHL would punish both teams. For these 2 teams of kids, yes punishment must be given, but the punishment should go to their coaches who must be banned of coaching for a long period of time.

  12. Both teams played within the rules of the game. If others didn’t like the way they played then that’s on them. Seems like parents from other teams that could have made the final if a team lost were upset. That’s too bad. Blame the organizers of the tournament, not the coaches or the players that played the game within the rules of the game.

  13. Would have pulled my kid off the field. One of these teams winning this tourney is much less important than the other lessons to be learnt here. Ban every adult who partook in this garbage.
