How Spain Completely Shut Down France

My tactics software: https://fmstadio.com/

Spain just gave France a tactical lesson. For the whole 90 minutes, they didn’t allow them any space in midfield, they controlled the tempo of the game, and closed down all of their attackers. In this video we break down the tactical masterclass from De la Fuente.

  2. no doubt Spanish football is the dominant force in C21st game but it has been at the expense of the fan – shutting down the opponent means no ebb and flow, possession that leads nowhere is boring – turning football into chess – what is the point? 2 mins of France v England was better than all Spain's games in the cup put together – for Spain denying the opposition the ball is a substitute for proper defending

  3. This Spain is too good,,,,,2010 was good,,,but 2026 tactics is elite,,,,,how to break Spain,,,,,you have to mark on and off the ball 1 by 1,,,,no gape marking,,,,it's like shadow marking,,,, wherever the player goes you have to follow,,,gape should be player to player 3ft,,,,there is no other way,,,,to break them

  4. I love the way they play football. As an American it reminds me of Nick Saban's early Bama teams that would jus suffocate you. Control the ball and don't let you do anything on offense and win 21-0. People would think it was boring but it was beautiful to watch to me. Spain is the same way. they will choke the life out of a team and win 1-0 or 2-0 and people will call it boring but it's just tactical mastery.

  5. After watching Spain in the Final Vs Argentina where Argentina got 0 shots on target in 2 hours of playing, I realized I forgive France- Spain is just too good!!

  6. As De la Fuente says, adaptation. Nico Williams' injury and Lamine's gradual recovery have prevented us from expanding the field as they liked to do to open spaces on both sides. For the rest, in addition to being brilliant, many have known each other since the under 19. I hope you conclude your exciting journey since 2017 by lifting the World Cup together. A great pride the matches against France and Portugal, they worked like clockwork.
