Why is the offsides graphic not showing the correct defender in question? He's clearly onside, held on by the far defender, yet the graphic shows the defender closest to him
Part of the toe being offside what a joke they have to change this offside rule once and for all , that is not significant space to be offside

A player is not in an offside position if level with the:
second-last opponent or
last two opponents
The keeper is technically a defender, and not to be in offside, you need to be behind the second to last defender (including the keeper who is in most scenarios the last defender) any part of the body of the attacker to be found past the "second to last defender" when the play happens that attacker is considered in offside. The decision was made because the foot of the attacker was past the second to last "defender"
If a player is offside when the ball is kicked but the ball gets deflected by the goalkeeper, the 'offside' player can't touch the ball, but if a defender intentionally passes the ball or throws it away then offside rule resets, the player can score. Deflection and intentional play are 2 key rules here. Same with penalty kicks, if the ball is deflected, the penalty kicker can't touch the ball again.

I agree this was a bad call but the people who say it was a bad call need to stop mentioning the Egyptian player #4 because he doesn't count (since the goalie was out). What matters is that the ball wasn't passed to him when he was offsides. It was rebounded to him when he was onsides. That plus it was only a matter of a few centimeters which, as another person said, is too close for a definite ruling.
