  1. Mexican player, Raúl Jiménez, survived a skull fracture back in 2020 thanks to emergency surgery. Everyone thought that would be the end of his career but he now plays with a special head band to protect himself.
    Yeah, protect the brain ppl!!

  2. Oh god, this brought back one of the most traumatic injuries I've ever seen, Eduardo Da Silva playing for Arsenal in 2008. A horrifically wrongly timed tackle broke his leg and dislocated his ankle and I can still remember how it looked in the close ups like the only thing keeping his foot together was the sock 🙈

  3. My aunt came over, and she is a nurse. She was explaining a spinal injury to me, calling the invertebral disc's jelly donuts. I told her I already knew what she was talking about very well. She asked how and I just said: "Doctor Mike" 😅

  4. I will never understand goalkeepers, or maybe I should say that I admire the courage. When I was young I was a horrible goal keeper because there was (and will ever be) no way I'm opening myself like a star to use my body as a shield for a ball and a person running at me at full speed.
I also wonder how it's possible they don't get injured more often for ball (get it?) shots, broken noses and teeth, etc.
I was scared while being a teen that I would guess the shots were "slow", I can't even imagine having a pro soccer player kicking a ball at me it has to feel like a cannon 😅
