Forgotten Ballers – Youssoufa Moukoko

He was Bundesliga’s youngest-ever goalscorer at just 16 years and 28 days old, tipped to be Germany’s next great striker, hyped as one of the biggest wonderkids on the planet before he’d even played 20 senior games.
Fast forward a few years: a stalled loan at Nice, an exit from Borussia Dortmund, and a €5m permanent move to FC Copenhagen a fraction of the fee scouts once quoted for him.
This is the story of Youssoufa Moukoko, and how the hype around one of football’s most talked-about teenagers faded before his career really began.

Who else deserves a spot in Forgotten Ballers?

  1. He my friend and we Leave together in Dortmund, football journey is not simple as many people thinks but sure he is gonna bounce back and getting more matured now

  2. He is still very young. Up’s and downs will happen. Same with Ansu fati who is on the right trejectory now with Monaco . Martin Ødegaard was supposed to be this wonderkid at Real Madrid. Didn’t work, and figured it out. Hopefully Moukoko figures it out

  3. Fabio Quagliarella, from Serie A 3peat with Juventus to playing with Sampdoria and beating Cristiano Ronaldo to the golden boot. One of my favourites and people rarely talk about him.
