And how funny the president Lee writing like he knew about the corruption but did nothing about it. I bet he is involved just acting stupid, as usual
South Korea should take note.
Check his accounts including hidden income betting who he owes money too and check legers stash hidden away in all places.
We should ask the other coaches who went to the hiring process, why they were denied or didn't accept the job, in the first place. Maybe that will give a input of the reason why now the Korea coach in question has been crucified for not delivering a win to Korea.
I mean, if the hiring process was out of corruption, then there must be a reason why the previous coaches who werent Koreans didn't take the job. That lead for the KFA decided at the end to rehired the one who "failed" to do the job.
Now if the K taxpayers are complaining, according to all sorts of true or false online info, why continue giving their hardwork earnings to a federation who failed previously with the same coach? If you had seen that, Why do you kept betting again?
I really think that its unfair for the team to go thru harsh scrutiny from the bad organization or its some of Kcitizens who definitely aren't angry about the team loosing, but the money the higher betters are involved in their dealings.
Hopefully the Korean President gets a very well honest investigation under their moral code of their values to find the answers about the KFA group business, and protect its citizens.
Fixing this problem, perhaps next time Korea couches and players will have a better way to deliver in the game and be more accepted when not.
Life it so short in every human being, and sports should be beside a representation of a country, a safe and enjoying time wheater you win or lose. But your dignity can't be humiliated just because we constantly forget that in terms of habilities or jobs there is someone better or has better luck then us or you.
Its a sport, for Gods sake, is not a War you are fighting. That is the result on any game of any sort. A win and a lose. When we humans undestand that, we will enjoy it better without so much disparage hate or critizism. When is not, then do not play period.
This Korean team, and coach were just the scape goats of a Federation who aren't working for its team, but for themselves.
Good luck for all. ✌️
it must be scary to recieve death treats in south korea since every adult male has military training.
If throwing money helps every time, pay the politicians more money see if that stops corruption in Korea.
More money into something in Korea is a inevitable cesspool for corruption and that has been consistent formula for a very long time.
There are enough sample sizes to apply such formula but Korean people are asking their tax money back because they didn't get the expected result and the formula went right over their heads.
Throw less money if you want less corruption as a solution to preventing it, not fund more money.
No money, no reason for a corruption.
More funding means inviting anyone who are passionate about money into the mix.
It's a very simple prediction.
South Korea’s public reaction is indeed asking for too much and amounts to sour‑graping. While the team is well‑funded and has decent resources, money and organization can only raise performance to a certain limit — they cannot close the natural gap in raw talent, physicality, technical depth, and experience that separates them from true top‑tier World Cup opponents. South Korea ranks only 18th–25th globally; reaching the World Cup is already a major achievement, but expecting them to consistently beat the world’s strongest squads is unrealistic. Tactics and coaching matter, but no strategy can overcome a clear difference in quality when facing elite competition. Defeat in such match‑ups is not a failure of the coach or effort — it is simply the natural outcome of facing teams with a higher overall ceiling. The public’s anger and refusal to accept this reality stem more from extreme national pride and high expectations than from objective assessment, making it easier to blame the coach than admit the honest limits of their own team.
This is ridiculous! A soccer team received these kinds of bullying and the most ridiculous is their president came out to blame for the loss??? This is a nation embarrassment to bully a team! Do you think they are enjoying the loss??? If there is corruptions and other issues involved, why don’t the people, the authorities and even the president didn’t do a damn thing before they play in the World Cup?????? I think the people and the government are to blame as they let it happened!
Nobody cares🥱
So what if you can find no lapsed practices of his hiring ? Is South Korea still going to be a loser and continue ding its professionals for not coming up to standard ? 😂
Come, find some corruptive practices first. If you don’t have evidence, then don’t be a loser. If anything , South Korea is the loser that hired him in the first place
What a shit show!!!
Sad that it happened to a good looking coach.
A country with racist and bullying populations, you don't deserve to participate in sports contests, a country that can't accept defeat
south korea needs to chill
0:27 the rankings is a load of b.s
Plenty of teams proved it wrong
That is myopic behaviour.Football is a game where some teams must lose no matter how good.Threateneing ones life over issue of loosing is not only barbaric but uncivilised.
Are you kidding me?!? Korea's "strongest" team was WEAK compared to their opponents.
So different like japan
I was confused and surprised why Korea played the last game so very weirdly. He didnt play Son fully, he substituted him early on and so on, apparently he told the team to go for a 0:0 draw… Truly bizzare his choices. I'm not Korean and it annoyed me watching the last game. Weird coach
THE CHOT REYES OF FOOTBALL 😂
In China's Communist systems, only capable person are appointed to lead. In Western democracies, only the most corrupt are appointed to lead. That's one of the main difference between the two regimes .
they had no chance since the beginning. What a shame
Comment sections think Korea is raging at an innocent coach who did his best to win the world cup while being hired to be a coach fairly is laughable.
They don't know glimps about what is actually going on and why people are furious.
How to tell the koreans,, that their country is not that great in football 🤔🤔
With four best players, failed to make the cut off.
Not even Mexicans wouldnt support him.
Thats Asia, they only praise you when your winning. But if you lose , they bully you easily. Wheres the SPORT on that. WORLD CUP IS NOT AN EASY GAME…. The enemy for the game its the Egos or hatred something… They need to change.
Football is a sport and should be taken as same.
Win and loose is part of it.
Death threat is also one of the korean stupidity.
The president needs to stfu and mind his own business. Why tf is the leader of the country joining in the unnecessary bullying???
I couldn’t imagine going to an airport just to boo someone
뭐, 한 팀은 져야 하는 거잖아. 그럼 한국은 허세만 부리고 실은 없다는 뜻이네. ㅋㅋㅋ
This event shows the true colors of Koreans. The world knows they wanted to win in whatever ways. That's why never fight boxing, or any match that involves judges inside Korea. Definitely you will lose. Better fight Koreans outside their countries for a fair judgement.
Never should have benched SON in first half. I was so angry.
Everyone, I’m truly sorry, but please stop
constantly bringing up Japan as a point of comparison with South Korea. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
Japan is Japan, and South Korea is South Korea.
I think they may look similar on the surface, but their history, the origins of their nations, their education systems, and their cultural sensibilities—the fundamental aspects—are different.
I hope you’ll understand.
That’s because Hong Myungbo effed up so massively and seemed to be making decisions based on player’s affiliation with KU/KFA rather than talent. It is NOT that Korean fans are “fickle.” They can easily spot the corruption that allowed an untested coach to be installed rather than following KFA’s own stated procedures for a competitive position
I think Korea always think that they will win of all course. Who do you think you are
Well deserved
I remember when Colombia, years ago, was (on paper) the best team in the world, and they lost in the round of 32. The team couldn't go back to Colombia. Every player had death threats! The coach could defect to the North.
Why are they making out they even had a chance? Even if they did win they cannot win the world cup they are not good enough.
why they not throwing eggs like in 2014
Koreans should take a page from the Japanese. Respect your players. It doesn't matter how they do at the WC. It is not only the coach. The players are responsible for the loss too.
Korea lost because of Koreans
2002😂
Leaving their top man on the bench was simply stupid.
