no.. he's not the greatest WC player of all time.. he is the greatest goal scorer, no doubt about it.. but let's be honest, if he was playing for say Scotland or Senegal he won't be scoring so many goals.. just so happens he's on the French team that has been very strong the past decade and has gone on to the last 2 WC finals, possibly 3 finals including this current one.

At the end of their careers, Mbappe or Haaland will be one with the most world cup goals. It's must probably going to be Mbappe because the French team is very good and will probably make it to the next 2 world cups. Haaland is a bit doubtful because the squad around him is not world class so we don't know how far they'll go over the course of his career but if both players make it far in the upcoming world cups, they'll probably end up being number 1 and 2 on that list and they'll stay there for a good long while.
They both hav maybe 2 more world cups but Haaland has maybe one more. We'll just have to wait and see.
