Portugal midfield could feed a not talented striker that is mobile, like Oyarzabal, balls enough, create enough so, in the end e looks like a great striker. That's what you can do with a midfield like Spain or Portugal. But no one can feed a static striker. Unless he moves up and scores headers but even that seems to be out of Cristiano's reach at this stage.

Vitinha can't play with his normal fluidity with Ronaldo, Neto and Bernardo in front of him. Firstly Neto gives the ball away like he's passing to the opposition. Ronaldo is too slow to make anything of a cut thru pass from Vitinha and Bernardo is a similar player to Vitinha. They need to introduce Trincao and Nunes into this game for flair and stability in place of Vitinha and Bernardo

The coach sub Ronaldo and everything started to move is what they want you to believe. Bca Ronaldo is a midfielder who is under performing. When the reality is the midfielders are playing poorly and 2/3 were sub out for creating no chances. They were reluctant to push the ball forward and slowed the game down. Pressuring the defenders and forcing Mendes to bring the ball up to create chances. Rafael is special kind of disappointment that should come off the bench for Ronaldo.
