This kind of foul happens often. Didnt even look that serious. That was why the referee gave a yellow initially. Some tackles look malicious and appears intentionally to injure the opponent. Those will get an immediate red but often no bones are broken. This was certainly freak
Vamos Canada let’s win the whole world cup

Not a red card
Why do they spend 5 mins talking about whether it’s a red or yellow? What a meaningless discussion.
A bit lazy production from CBS don't you think. Showing the science centre dome in Vancouver before it was turned into a football, like from two months ago?
Then of course the studio is lit for a funeral.
The injury made it a red which is concerning. The refs felt the pressure from the home team & crowd.
Qatar biggest sore loser in the world cup history they look like they don't even know what to do with the ball just interested in injury. Also they need to make a new rule for GK wasting so much time and keep going down for no reason after 2 times falling down and wasting time the Gk should be replaced
Jonathon David leads the World Cup with 3 goals, tied with some other guy from Argentina.
Great for Saliba to score such a wonderful free kick – that has to boost both his own confidence and his mates' confidence in him if he carries on as Kone's replacement, and of course the entire squad will be playing for Kone now as well.
Thanks Canada, great job. Canada help us show real face of Qatar squad when no referee they could buy, no linesman accept bribery, no drama rolling back and forth in the field, no time injury cheating. Qatar merely amateur cheating team, ineligible for WC
There may have been another blow that wasn't shown on camera.
a great day for canada, and therefore the world
Why do they talk about "room for improvement" They dominated every aspect of the game and scored 6.
First for the Canadian men. The women have been winning for decades!
It's happened before where a red is given after the injury is seen and realized. I watched the tackle and it wasnt that bad in of itself. But with the injury the refs almost have no choice, so I dont blame them.
The behavior at the end. Wow, Canada. You present such a squeaky clean image. What happened?
Go Big ! Or Go Home !

Terrible punditry
Vancouver fakes didn’t throw their hats, what an embarrassment
All of Asia laughed as Qatar was humiliated. The country cheated, but qualified with the help of the AFC and FIFA's approval.
You should update your science ball picture. It is a FIFA ball now.
I don't think it was a red, it didn't look that hard it was just a weird accident. Kone's face couldn't believe it the one shot closeup they showed once. One thing he wasn't doing was rolling around trying to get a call like light contact causes most of the time.
I know it was inly Qatar, but i love the pressing and attacking, forcing their will, front foot ftom the jump, it works and always has, and for some reason everyone wants to be spain
Owwwee, The sound of Kone's leg breaking could be heard above the crowd
Yikes, you could actually hear that leg break. 😮
It definately an intent to injure red card was deserved
Qatar was down 2 players. Easier to score against
I have my doubts that this team can compete without Koné. I'm stressed.
Why are you showing Vancouver's science world without the giant fifa soccer ball around it? You guys at CBS fail so hard they only give you 2 year old stock pictures of Vancouver. lol CBS sucks
Kone 🙏. Next man up -Saliba, Osorio and Choinière need to setup it up in the midfield
It’s less controversial to give the red than a yellow card. You don’t want the talking point to be about refs like the PGMOL.
I expected Canada to win. But 6-0 😮. Qatar can be tricky, but, did they party too much after their first group game. 🤔
A great win for us. But the injury to Kone is a huge blow.

Big congrats to the Canadian team. Great win.
