I used to do something similar had a bouncing ball on a rubber string would stand about a meter or 1.5 m away from flat wall n chuck bal off d wall got used to the walls return cos it's flat so projected trajectory was easy.
Had to find a rocky uneven wall n trained with that to get the ball to return in unpredictable directions, n speeds…. This training sharpened me as GK earning me full time GK spot in school squad n earning nickname off spiderman😂. Had the quickest reactions n pulled off insane saves that teams couldn't fathom how I got their so quick. To be fair I was tall. So my advice to young kids training GK try similar thibgs
