  1. The squad is descent but the head coach is just hopeless. Not fit to manage the national team!!!!!! So, no!!!!!! our national team will not be qualifyinng beyond qualifying round. Sad for Sonny but this is what it is.

  2. As a Korean, I want to believe so, but in reality, not even close.Β
Sonny is clearly losing his edge steeply, and Korea's team play is mediocre at best.Β

Real dark horse for this World Cup is Japan.Β
Over last 10 years or so, Japan has completely transformed into a team that won't lose easily to any team in the world.Β
they can put up a good fight against pretty much any team now.Β
If they have luck here and there, I can see them going really deep into the tournament.

  3. Are you kidding me? As a Korean this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. This is the trashiest team we’ve had in a while, and that’s saying something considering we have the most world class talent. There is zero trust in the coach or the association chairman who appointed him over more qualified candidates due to his β€œgut feeling”. Nobody understands the back-3 formation, and the manager is busy blaming players rather than his lack of skill. We are all very angry

  4. yup.. hidink is a god in south korea.. he was the one who gave park ji sung a chance in the bigs. he opened up alot of opportunities. even son looked up to n wanted to be like park ji sung. even the coaches that have elevated asian soccer like vietnam was hiddinks assistant during 2002.

  5. Who the hell says we’re dark horses?? We’re under dogs or a pig ready for slaughter against πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ.
    – terrible FA president, technical director and NT manager
    – league is in shambles; referee decisions continue to stain the league’s image
    – development is SO far behind the likes of πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ πŸ‡πŸ‡· πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦
    – in the NT we are being exposed for no depth, and no tactics

Right now we’re free points for the other teams in group A. Having qualified for 10 consecutive world cups, and what have we done? We’re still irrelevant in the footballing world. Nothing has changed at all. We’re stuck in 2002 while everyone else has moved on. After Son retires, we’re not gonna qualify for the World Cup anytime soon. We need literal government or divine intervention for us to have a breakthrough in football. GTA VI and dare I say the Epstein files will be released way before we become a better footballing nation. I’m sorry for the rant, but right now, Korean fans are at an all time low right now.

  6. I remember seeing a video clip of the Korean Team at the Airport in SEOUL when they returned home. They were being interviewed and a passerby tossed a bunch of candy on the floor in front of them. The players looked extremely sad. I asked my Korean Dentist what that meant and he said it was basically calling them all a bunch of little kids or B's not capable of playing against men. Wooow That is rough! Those fans are hardcore.

  7. It is proven that πŸ‡°πŸ‡· cheated their way to the last stages in the 2002 World Cup. Why do people hype them up then get disappointed when they cant even make it pass the second round πŸ‡°πŸ‡·. As delusional as pompys who think they have any chance to get past the semis 😭😭😭

  8. Who in the world made this garbage video? First off, they are not a power house. Secondly their best players are all aging and past their prime. their performances during the 2002 world cup was sus at best with multiple mostly being on the bench or on poor teams this season. They always lose to japan and have shaky qualifications to world cup appearances. They made a couple of upsets but are still yet to win a single trophy in the 21st century. They are not a dark horse. Their manager is not looked at in a positive light at all with multiple bad results. They have made poor move after move which put them on a currend decline. They are not likely at all to make the secomd round. Whoever made this segment does not know ball at all.

  10. 였휸μ₯¬?? λˆ„κ΅¬μ˜ˆμš”?

Troy Deeney has no idea who Son is. Son is now the generational talent? This young man? He's been dominating for asian football for 10 years and he's 34 this year. Not very young.

  12. Answer is "NO". They will try to go beyond the group stage, but not as far as 2002.
The only world-class player they have is Sonny… unfortunately, one man doesn't make a team, and bearing in mind that he will be 33/34 yrs old by then
Let's lower our expectation on SK, but rather we should enjoy their sleek passing and fast flowing football… especially with this likely being Sonny's swansong on the global stage πŸ™‚
