  1. People will easily criticize why Arsenal adopted this slow, patient and set piece dominant playstyle but never ask the cause
Arsenal was always a possession based team even before PL teams adapted the concept, and people used to called them, weak team, men vs boys, then Arteta came and he added their game with more defensive style and aggressive pressing style, while still kept the possession based playstyle which made them hard to beat them, but that high intensity with their slim squad cost them big time by injuries and fatigue in last stages of every season plus most of the teams playing low block against them, and thatโ€™s where the set pieces came in hand, to score and force their opponents to come out then exploit them
This slow and patient football started last season but their season was damaged 8 games into the season by injuries and controversial red cards and still managed to reach UCL semis and this season they strengthen their squad and finally crossed the line and reached UCl final
I think next season we will see more balanced playstyle by recruiting more attack minded players

  2. As a city supporter I so wanted them to win but Arsenal were brilliant and formidable opponents, and they deserved the title after a long wait, well done gunners! ๐Ÿ‘

  3. He forgot point 4: have the refs and VAR on their side. That havertz tackle supposed to be a red, not to mention the many challenges they've got away with in set pieces which they did they exact same on many instances that got given.

It is what it is though, every team has their "luck" with officials at some point or the other (granted arsenal was excessive) but after the league legit came out and said "we have a plan to have different teams win…" i question everything

  4. The first point is why they could be boring. It usually stayed between the back 5 passing it around. There was that gap in the middle linking up play. That's why it usually when to the sides, that would cross or pass back. There wasn't enough football in the middle, especially when odegard was gone or not in form. Now that there will be less pressure, they have to play more football and be less reliant on set plays.

If Arsenal get Alverez, and attacking midfielder, and maybe someone who offered something different on the left. I think they would look exceptional.

  5. Over the last 3 seasons, Arsenal have statistically faced more 'low blocks' than any other PL side. Even City sat deep and had just 33% of the ball, the lowest percentage of a Guardiola side in his entire managerial career. Bayern and Inter challenged Arsenal, both teams were thumped 3-1" -Sam Dean

  6. This is all fake news and misinformation and man city propaganda, donโ€™t believe this nonsense.
Arsenal won the premier league because of determination dedication and simply being the greatest team ever
