  1. One number that isn't talked about is the number of penalty kicks the USA have been awarded since 1990. It's 1. One penalty kick awarded in 2010 in the match with Ghana (converted by Donovan). This tells me that the USA are not playing the game correctly in the attacking third with astonishing consistency. American players don't have the confidence nor the talent to take on a defender in the box and win a penalty.
