Smithy and Joe are joined by Flav and Ollie Thomas this week on Saturday Social. Following England’s 1-1 draw last night against Uruguay and Thomas Tuchel picking a 35 man split squad in this international break we tasked Ollie to pick his England squad for the 2026 World Cup. 1. For God's sake. Maguire, Stones and Henderson? Been there, done it and failed. All far too slow. Need young energetic and fearless players. Also must take Gibbs-White.

  2. the fact that they dropped Toni because of the league he plays in πŸ€¦β€β™‚πŸ€¦β€β™‚πŸ˜žπŸ˜ž France are calling on ThΓ©o Hernandez, Portugal are calling RΓΊben Neves.

  3. Bowens the top scoring Englishman…proceeds to not put him in the squad. This is why we dont win world cups. You dont rise to your expectations you fall to your training.

  4. Thing with england is we have never had a manager to say play lads just play win lose or draw we have the players over the years but every tournament to defensive and negative not being a broken record but i want them to play like gazza no fear look at rooney 2004 tore it up then some reason went missing ever since players have never really had a manager to say go enjoy yourselfs southgate got us to a final done well then got to final and got nervous id rather lose 4 nil in final rather than lose on penalties with negative tactics play free in attack more we have always had good teams but am I dreaming are we just a tactical team too defend first it does work Italy do it that way I suppose and they got 4 world cups

  5. My squad would be
    Goalkeepers:
    Jordan Pickford
    Dean Henderson
    James Trafford.

    Defenders:
    Ezri Konza,
    Marc Guehi,
    Trevor Challobah,
    Harry Maguire,
    Tino Livramento,
    Lewis Hall,
    Reece James,
    Nico O'Reilly.

    Midfielders:
    Connor Gallagher,
    Declan Rice,
    Archie Gray,
    James Garner
    Elliot Anderson,
    Morgan Gibbs White
    Jude Bellingham
    Kbbie Mainoo
    Eberechi Eze.

    Forwards:
    Harry Kane,
    Dominic Solanke,
    Danny Welbeck,
    Bukayo Saka,
    Jared Bowen,
    Marcus Rashford.

  6. @8:58 I respect his opinion, but saying England should not start their best Left Back just because he's not been playing a traditional left back role for his club recently, (whilst admitting he's been the best England left back this season and is in outstanding form) is nuts. That reasoning makes absolutely no sense to me. In fact, if anything, excelling recently slightly outside of his normal playing position is actually MORE of a reason O'Reilly earns his starting place.
