  1. Neymar gave up on being an athlete a long time ago. Shame for Ancelotti. He probably will get cut cause of injuries before de WC and I hope there's still time to call for JP.

  2. What Neymar can offer in a world cup, there's no other player that can do that. remember Ronaldo (R9) went to 2002 world cup after being out of action for long and they won it! Even in 2006 after he was losing form, he was still one of the best player in that tournament. Just 20 minutes of Neymar can win a game.

  3. Have you seen Brazil 1994. Yea they won but they were very much in-Brazil to use the pundits words. The next three WCs was more Brazilian than 1994. But guess what with the exception of 2002. They never won but 94 team won. Though un-Brazilian

  4. What was that? Perhaps the worst analysis of the Brazilian team. The midfield is the actual problem. How on earth do they think the problem is the defenders? Yeah, on the sides perhaps, but most teams suffer from the same problem.

  5. listen let me break it down, having ney in the lifts everyone up you remember when argentina played for messi, the brazilian players will play for him and absolutely he has to start every game that he can

  6. brother you do realise, Brazil only won 1 out of last 6 or 7 copa america editions, this isnt old Brazil where it was World Cup or bust, any trophy for these team is a success

  7. Neymar jogo bonito! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🇧🇷😰🇧🇷😰🎉🎉🎉🎉🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷😀😀😀😀😀😀😀🌹😀😀

  8. Neymar isn't close to how he was in his prime but this dude really carried the Brazil national team for the past decade plus. he deserves a spot

  9. As a fan I wanted to mention something because the media doesn't cover criticism of Fifa in regards to injuries, I think honestly in the future I think Fifa should consider a program which 3 months before the world cup the players of the national team are allowed to get a vacation before the world cup and not be forced to play with their clubs to avoid injuries and give them time to rest for the world cup. I seen a lot of players tearing out and worn out tired from excessive games and burned out. We also tend to have this problem that players like some superstars may it be Neymar or others as we saw with Estevao and others in the past suffer injuries that undermined the ability to play or finish a world cup. I really think Fifa should consider a break period for elite players who get called up for the world cup so they have some time to rest after training for the world cup. I just think this also gives a window of time for recovery in the event in the 4th month before the break period they have time to recover to be able to play the world cup if they happened to get some sort of injury playing in club level.

It is overall true that Neymar barely qualified and got a spot out of luck and his talent with Carlos Ancellotti blessing and in reality in truth given Brazil has not been good the past 4 years and under achiever, considering what Brazil's men team as a 5 time world champion been historically to have a mediocre 4 year cycle in between two interim coaches Ramon Menezes, Fernando Diniz and last coach Dorival Junior, before going to the Italian club level legend Carlos Ancellotti one of the all time best club level coaches in history next to Pep Guardiola and Alex Fergusson, is going for the biggest honor to be a world champion for a nation and not just club level to rank among the all time great coaches who led nations to win world cups in their history.

I hope for 2030 Fifa consider some changes like a vacation period before the Fifa world cup and for the Olympics which I think for the men's game should drop the under 23 world cup style restrictions and just have at least have the teams the world cup has now like 24 so it gets more importance compared to the World Cup which has 48 teams now and a super expansion tournament.

  10. calling up neymar, not calling up joao pedro, and not calling up Silva were all terrible choices but calling Raphina AND Vini top 3 wingers in the world is a line crossed too far

  11. Brazil reigned during the most of the 20th century…..and even 1998, 2002 were fantastic! then, Dunga had to cut off the party of 2006 with everybody lazy as hxxxxx That's why in 2010 Dunga taught Brazilians to appreciate defense. Skip the humiliation and disaster of 2014, 2018 we got 2022 the team had order and discipline but the Brazilian special talents were not there….now they are coming back for this one. The question is….Carlucci will be able to get the job done? For me, Brazil is right now behind its parent Portugal. Also behind Spain, France, Argentina and Morroco. I know is uncomfortable for Brazilians but they are in the second level with netherlands, croatia, germany.

  12. everybody can talk about brazil's players, ignoring reality, which is:
The manager. Today's football is 70% tactics and 30% the players.
Take Greece 2004 win for example. A good manager and a simple players:
Who forecasted their victory? No one.
And on the opposite, take Brazil in 2006, Full of talents…and? out in the quarterfinals.
A manager can destroy and a manager can win.
Brazil, yes, aren't the wow they used to be. But they did the smart step < hiring the best manager in the world. They have got a chance to go far.

  13. I always said:
If you watched Brazil for the last couple of years, you can see how much creativity in the front they lacked…What they need is IQ play, someone who can be the master creative player who will set up the attack.
And that's why Neymar is so crucial as a number 10.
You have those 2 speed engines:Vini and Raphina, those aren't IQ, they with Neymar is like + and – in electricity.

  14. Brazil hasn’t looked like Brazil since 1982…. Even the 94 and 2002 winning teams were super solid defensively, and had individual flair players.

  15. If he's not on the team for leadership and camaraderie, then this is a joke. Neymar is going to beat France, Spain, or Argentina? Is there another country doing a legacy pick like this? Do you want to win or make friends? He's nowhere near as good as the other attackers now, and they probably have too many attackers at that.

  16. Riot….!!😂😂😂 Brazilian fans had a vote n it was 50/50 fo him to b on squad…!! Dey want to win n not a superstar who doesn't work hard fo da team n also der was betta players who didn't make it in team bcoz of neymar.
