  1. We might have some issues to fix at the back and our depth there.
De ligt out and timber close to out, timber was 100% gonna be starter and de ligt from what I know is really high on Koemans list when fit and injury free he and koeman have a strong relationship.
I think with Geertruida you already have a somewhat similar but lesser version of timber with compatible skills, playable cb and rb.
Same goes for sepp van de berg never been selected but I really think he deserves some spotlight, has been very consistent for brentford and can also play cb as rb.
For de ligt replacement you will need a physical stopper aggressive and arial threat, it’s why koeman likes him, easy choice 4 me it has to be Sven botman, beukema from Napoli otherwise.

  2. If the World Cup will be the place where a footballers can make up for a frustrating season at club level, than the Netherlands have a serious chance to go all the way 😁

  3. I have the Netherlands 🇳🇱 as the 3rd team on my list to lift the trophy
    1 Germany 🇩🇪
    2 Brazil 🇧🇷
    3 Netherlands 🇳🇱
    4 Argentina 🇦🇷
    5 France 🇫🇷
    6 England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
    7 Spain 🇪🇸

  4. What a bunch of nonsense. The Dutch system is 433 for decades.

No young player coming through? What about the u19 became European champions last year.

Foreign players in the league? Not really, sure some. But there is new Dutch talent coming through. Players like Read, Nijstad, Hato, M. Rots, Smit, Banzuzi, Valente, Addai, Poku are all talented players.

We consistently beat teams below us and cant win against better teams. I expect we finish on top and go to the qf and will be eliminated by one of the big teams.

  5. They miss a striker in the mould of a Van Baasten,Kluivert,Van Persie.this Dutch attack is the worst I have ever seen.if your main attacker is Depay that tells you about the state of Dutch football.Malen,a fit Dumphries and Tijani Reinjders should be the ones to watch.however they should make the quarters.after that who knows.

  6. The discipline caught up with the Dutch last time against Argentina? They came back from being 2-0 down and only lost by penalties against a superior squad.

  7. You said it mate "A lack of discipline". I am from The Netherlands and The Dutch do not have the Killer Mentality like Zgermans or South Americans have. Can we win it, yes, but we have to win against the BIG teams.

  8. This dutch generation of players is bang average, compared to the past dutch generation of players. Most of them don't get into top teams in England Spain. Their best player Memphis plays in the Brazilian league.

  9. If you could win the WC with arrogance and big mouth the Ducht would have won the WC a few times already. They deserved it in 1978. The WC 1974 they even shouldn't have been in Germany because in the qualification Belgium was robben from a goal against the Netherlands, which would have qualified Belgium. Belgium even didn't got a single goal against in that whole qualification round.

  10. The Dutch became great with the 4-3-3, not the 4-4-2😅 They have a great squad defensively and on the midfield. And with the form Malen is in, they should be able to score goals easily. I expect them to top the group. But I'm really curious for the next round. Where they face Ancelotti's Brazil or AFCON-finalists (or winners actually) Marocco. If they're able to win against those teams, I see them reach at least the semi – finals.

  11. Calling the current team lesser than the one that competed in Qatar is mental! The backside is pretty much the same, with a better goalkeeper. The frontline is slightly better (we now have Malen in exceptional form, compared to Bergwijn on the decline in 2021). The midfield though is much improved! In Qatar, NL had to play with Klaassen, De Roon and Blind in midfield. These guys are talking out of their behinds!

  12. I’m Dutch, I think our defense and midfield are world class and worthy of becoming world champions, however, our offense is not. Yes, Gakpo, Malen, and Depay are all top players, but they’re not the level of Dembele, Yamal, Mbappe, Kane, Haaland, or Lautaro.

  13. Netherlands are bang average with a poor manager as well. I wouldn't even put them favourites for their group. Japan will be a formidable opponent and this new Sweden under Graham Potter will challenge them. I can see Holland getting sent home early.

  14. This is most definitely not a golden generation by Dutch standards. They have some great players in VVD and Frenkie de Jong, but outside of those two they have a few other good players but none on par with those 90s rosters as well as the early 00s.
