Nottingham Forest’s Vítor Pereira has completed the club’s revival, guiding Forest to Premier League safety after becoming their fourth manager of the season.
In this episode of The Breakdown, we explore how Pereira fixed the issues holding the team back, transformed Forest into one of the league’s most tactically flexible sides, and unlocked the midfield dominance of Elliot Anderson within the new system. We also look at why Morgan Gibbs-White has become almost unstoppable under Pereira’s management.

Watched a lot of Forest home and away this season. Thought your analysis was very good. B4 VP came in we saw time & time again wingers getting to and beyond the 18 yard line and either crossing to no one in the box or having to check their runs and pass it backwards or sideways sometimes all the way back to the gk. One thing VP has done is demand a higher press meaning wingers are able to do what wingers should do…cross the ball into danger areas with targets available. And if we're not going wide, the high press means we have multiple options available as we press directly through the middle. So refreshing to watch in the last couple of months.
Ten quid says this bloke is a vegan
Still gutted about the semi-final. We were looking so good before that game..
What Pereira has done, very simply, is remind the players that they are good and that they should go out and play like they are good and try to find solutions that get players into positions where they can influence the game. It's very simple, really, and he's been superb at it.
Sean Douche just tried to get them to play crosses into the box without having anyone on the end of them, and completely bypassing a world-class midfield, and Ange just used his time at Forest to complain about being sacked by Spurs.
A really interesting video on how Forest have been transformed. It’s amazing what difference a new manager can do to turn a group of players around.
Forest really missed Wood and Aina, the introduction of Cunha really made a difference.
skipped the bit that showed how it was before VP. Gives me nightmares.
You Reds
European places push next season
If your watching it closely against Chelsea 2:42 when garnacho receives the ball i could've pass to enzo with one touch before forest regroup Chelsea playing with 10man🤣
Excelent.
VP is a solid manager. I want to see him in a big team. Very curious about him havig a top 7 team on his hands! Solid and not a surprise. Deserves a chance. Chelsea?
One or two names wrong but good analysis 👍

If Dyche would have had Chris Wood at his disposal he’ll have get Forest up.
Just that the play would have been rigid.
Pereira initially struggled to get a result but can’t be blamed coming in after 3 other managers.
Going to be an interesting summer if Anderson and MGW leave.
That would sound familiar to Pereira as he had his best players taken from him at Wolves
I saw alot of people giving Jesus stick for his lack of EPL goals before Vitor. But really we were asking a lot from him with no real support. Vitor has MGW, Wood and Hutchinson moving beyond him now and its unlocked him. Hes quality.

And people said Dyche would have kept us up! So glad we sacked him when we did. Dyche was sending us down
“Dominguez” = Ryan Yates 😂
“This manager” he has a name.
Uh oh James you might lose your job, mistaking multiple players tut tut tut
MGW premier league player of the season nomination – 2 seasons in a row.
But Tommy Tuchel doesn’t rate him 🤡
FYI- Wood not Milenkovic 😉
FYI- Yates, not Dominguez
Thats Ryan Yates not Dominguez mate
Logo ele sai dizendo que vai cuidar da sogra.
In Italy we really need this type of content but it's a dream yet. Nice video and good job
Aka why you don't hire Dyche
Using clips of Yates as examples of Dominguez..
Victor perreria was known for his high pressing in Wolves but there's was no athleticism in there for him to use as a weapon.
The stand out player for me in Nottingham forest is Gibbs white scoring against Manchester City while we see less of Chris Wood this season.
Says a lot about the environment, from relegating wolves to saving Nottingham forest with a bang. Too bad about the Europa league semifinal
anderson saved them
