  1. My dad used to play football and apparently when him and my mom got together she was surprised how this ripped, super athletic man was eating so much candy and chips

He was an active goalkeeper into his 40s and while I was to young to know what was going on I have phantom memories of watching him play (phantom memories as in I know I was there but doesnโ€™t remember 99% of it)

  2. I also had cleats that had a hole one both cleats and on the bottom it was coming off and the inside was also coming off and i had to use the for like 3 months and i fi ally got new cleats two days ago. And i also eat duing half time but i eat spicy chip and when i get caught my coach yells at me cuz he says its bad for me.

  3. When I was in highschool in olden days our three best players chain smoked right before practice. My asthmatic self huffed along at the back of the pack during training runs ๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. Thatโ€™s so true but as a class topper , 2 of my friends and a sibling are topper but spend 99% of time on Netflix , TikTok , Pinterest and YouTube ๐Ÿ˜…

  5. This was me in high school. Idk how it was possible but past em thought that was just normal life. Living off no sleep, McDoubles, soda, candy, and still able to perform without issue. I WISH this could stay a reality but it doesn't even seem real looking back

  6. Eh, I think what i see is someone is relaxed and loves the sport. Not to say sports demand work, they demand a lot, but I think not stressing over it a lot gives you an edge? Maybe Iโ€™m talking out of my butt. Iโ€™m not a sports person, just observing

  7. And then that same player gets outshined by a hand worker, and ends up getting injured and getting their career cut short by the time they're in their early 20s

  8. I almost got a kidney infection but me and my dad begged my mum to let me play and I saved a couple goals and played mid-field and full back ( it was only 7 aside)

  9. I once went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet right before a soccer game. I don't know how I managed to not throw up or get sick.

  10. Peanut M&Ms are a life saver if you're running multiple events at a track meet; there's a reason Marshawn Lynch was eating Skittles lol

  11. Ex Football Trainer/Medic here, we used to always have candy for the players during halftime. Quick acting carbs are 100% the best thing for keeping players alert the whole game

  12. A kid on my travel soccer team ate candy at halftime and we were losing 2 nil or 3 nil or something like that. We still lost tho 5-0๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
