During our time in Aveiro, Portugal with the Professional Football Academy, we had the chance to step away from the pitch and explore a town rich in history, culture, and soul.
Aveiro is often called “The Venice of Portugal” thanks to its beautiful canals and the traditional moliceiro boats that once carried seaweed and now glide through the waterways as symbols of the city’s heritage.
What struck me most wasn’t just the beauty of Aveiro— it was the people. In Aveiro, life feels different. Slower. More intentional. The people seem to live a life of subtraction — less chasing, less wanting, less noise. Instead, more time with friends, more community, more presence. It reminded me that sometimes less truly is more.
We captured some of these moments in this short video — the canals, the culture, the lifestyle, and the spirit of the town that welcomed us. Watch the video and experience Aveiro through our eyes.
