Content: It’s the final game of the season; the question is can Burlington City get a result today? A tie or wins secure an undefeated season and top spot in the league.
The episode starts with videographer Nicole Flowers greeting the players as they arrive on a sunny Sunday morning. Coach Green warms up the team and has them physically and mentally ready for this important fixture. Burlington face No Borders FC in their final match.
Not long after kick off tragedy hits Burlington City. Midfielder collides with a no borders player and breaks his leg. Emergency services are called and Fernando Nieves is stretchered off the field. It’s a sad incident that rocks the teams. Coach Green has to get the team refocused at half time.
In the second half Burlington unload with 2 goals from defender Nadir Lamaj and one from team captain Joe Rich.
Burlington City, the underdogs have reached their goal of being undefeated in the season and sit top of the league when all is said and done.
