In today’s video, we’ll show you 4 different soccer activities you can do in the comfort of your house that will improve your touch, dribbling skills and overall ball control. We’ve additionally made separate and more in depth videos on each of these topics, and we’ll include the links below for those who want a breakdown of each activity.
Juggling:
Juggling is one of those fundamental skills that everyone should be practicing, ideally from the youngest possible age. It’s a simple skill that really helps players become more comfortable with the ball by developing a softer touch. It’s also a great way to improve agility, balance and coordination with the ball. When practicing this indoors, we recommend that you do more of the toe tap juggling as this will help keep your touches lower and under control. Try to use the top of your toes to hit the ball and aim to keep touches at or below knee level.
Ball Mastery:
Great way to maximize touches on the ball in a relatively small area.
Figure 8 Drill:
Another great activity to improve ball control and dribbling skills. To set this up, all you really need is 2 objects that can be used as markers. To perform the drill, you’ll want to dribble the ball in and around the 2 object in the shape of the number 8.
Wall Training:
One of the best ways to improve passing and receiving technique and just boost overall ball control. The reason why wall training is such a powerful tool is because it helps players achieve higher levels of repetition in a very efficient way. It’ll reward you when you execute the movements properly by continuously returning a good pass, and conversely, it’ll punish you if you lose focus and execute with poor technique.
